Having grown up in New York, Lea Michele knows firsthand just how spectacular the city can be during the holidays. On her Top 40 2019 album Christmas in the City, the Glee star (currently playing Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway) captured a sleigh-full of that Yuletide joy.

The centerpiece is the original track “Christmas in New York,” which Lea describes as painting “this beautiful picture of New York, but also about what it means to be with your family and friends and engaged in that holiday spirit.” The rest of the album, produced by Glee producers Alex and Adam Anders, is equally enchanting. Highlights include duets with Jonathan Groff (Frozen’s Kristoff) and Darren Criss, plus a showstopping rendition of “Angels We Have Heard on High” with Cynthia Erivo.

For its vinyl debut, Christmas in the City arrives on limited white vinyl in a gatefold jacket with a printed inner sleeve featuring beautiful photos of Lea spreading Christmas cheer.
