Buy King Crimson Vinyl Records & Box Set LP Vinyl

King Crimson was founded in early 1969 from the ashes of the group Giles, Giles, and Fripp and set a course to become one of prog-rock’s most popular bands. Having rehearsed in a basement for several weeks, their big break arrived when they were invited to open for The Rolling Stones in Hyde Park during the Stones’ tribute to Brian Jones.

Shortly after, King Crimson went on to record their phenomenal first album and then departed for a tour in the U.S. and then later disbanded in 1970. That first album was a blueprint for all those that followed.

The music they made went on to influence Genesis, Yes, Black Sabbath, Asia, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Living Colour, among others. King Crimson's members have gone on to form or work in other bands including Foreigner, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Bad Company, Peter Gabriel, etc.
