Buy New & Used Ramones Vinyl LPs

Discontent reigned high during the mid 70s, when Rock and Roll was getting polluted by egos, outfits, and scandals. It was inevitable for a “no bullshit” band to eventually emerge. At their trademark blistering tempo, the Ramones brought Rock back to the simple excitement that it’s all about.

If you think about a band like The Beatles, you’ll notice that most of their songs are fairly simple, containing only a few chords and a lead vocal melody. In a way, the Ramones are the same - the difference is, the Ramones played their songs about two or three times faster and louder. Their “no-nonsense” punk attitude meant that they weren’t interested in fame, popularity, or shiny fashion, preferring their leather jackets, long hair, and t-shirts instead.

The other difference is the Ramones’ lyrics touch very real, dark subject matters like abuse, prostitution, drugs, and violence. Their punchy twist on reality influenced musicians across genres for generations to come, from thrash metal to emo to grunge.

The Ramones self-titled debut album changed the history of music forever, inventing punk rock. You’ll notice the album’s “Chain Saw” tempo, blazing through 14 songs in just 30 minutes. If you’ve got nothing to do and nowhere to go, You’ll “Wanna Be Sedated” by our Ramones vinyl records. It’s kind of like this: I knew a girl named Sheena once, and ever since introducing her to the Ramones, "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker." Be like Sheena.
